We are all people.

by justbekozlowski

If all the people shared a meal,

And saw how each other ate,

Perhaps they might be less inclined,

To be violent and hate.

It seems to be a secret,

That we’re all just human beans,

Trying to feed our family,

Or chasing our wildest dreams.

Each person has their place in time,

And their position to fulfil,

But history is cruel,

And has changed the rules,

On how bitter is the pill.

It hurts to see the hatred,

And the destruction that it makes,

We need to regroup,

And share some soup,

Or it might just be too late.
